AS/NZS 4020:2018 Testing

The Standard specifies requirements for the suitability of products for use in contact with drinking water, with regard to their effect on the quality water. These products include all item contact with drinking water, for example but not limited to, pipes, fittings, components, and materials used in coating, protection, lining, jointing, sealing and lubrication applications, hot water system in the water supply and plumbing industry. The Standard test report is valid for 5 years.

AS/NZS 4020 consists of below tests:

Testing takes approximate 12 weeks to complete.

Sample requirements

 

The Standard requires multiple samples to complete the test. When a range of identical product occurs, the product with the highest surface to volume, in other words, the smallest size of the product will be nominated for testing, unless stated by certification bodies. Please contact the laboratory prior to submitting the sample. Also, kindly check if your product is eligible for FREE international shipping. 

 

For an international submitting organisation, please kindly include 'Testing Sample, No Commercial Value' to your parcel for custom clearance purposes due to the strict import law and regulation enforced by local authorities.
